"What a Wonderful Way...

...to see and enjoy the culture of France by traveling as friends and family*! Our small group allowed us to be flexible and go with the flow.

Highlights for me included experiencing “the other side of Paris”, including walking down from Montmartre to meet some random folks from Senegal, visiting a tiny Senegalese restaurant to taste their food outside while watching the ‘street scene’ of women with babies on their backs in bright African clothes.

The 4-day farm visit was terrific, visiting various local farms, tasting their products, having a great hands-on cooking evening, and meeting and eating with local people. Brouilly and our surprise evening in a vineyard celebrating with an eight-course dinner accompanied by wine and a Saxophone quartet and its terrific rendition of “Bohemian Rapsody”.

Other highlights were a botanical garden visit and the ferry ride to an island in the Mediterranean where we visited a fascinating museum and its gardens with surprises around every turn.
